Dr Dan Parker
Dan Parker is a design researcher developing innovative strategies to support thriving, biodiverse ecosystems. He has co-designed habitat-creation projects for birds, mammals, and insects in Italy, Australia, and England. Dan holds a Bachelor of Environments, Master of Architecture, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Melbourne. He earned a Diploma in Modern Languages (Italian) from the University of New England and now studies a Postgraduate Certificate in Ecological Survey Techniques at the University of Oxford. Specialising in computer-aided design, Dan has taught several design subjects, worked in architectural practice, and held positions in digital fabrication labs. With experience as a ranger and wildlife surveyor, Dan has worked in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems in Aotearoa New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
